From November 11-13, Alianza Americas held its Leadership Assembly 2022: #SomosComunidad in Washington D.C. This event brought together grassroots leaders from the 56 organizations that make up our multiracial coalition, in order to connect, celebrate our communities, and strategize for 2023. With many communities still healing from the impacts of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic this was a moment of rebuilding and recovery for our network and the communities we serve. As a community, we resist, rebuild, and propose solutions. Together, we leverage the collective power we bring as a COMUNIDAD to move forward a progressive economic and social justice agenda.  

In our first in-person assembly since 2018, we built the foundations for our next year of advocacy that will propel our movement to defend migrant rights and democracy, advance equity, and change narratives. We also elected new members to our Board of Directors.
