Voices that Matter: Promoting Language Access for Indigenous Migrant Communities

2024

This webinar will address the importance of language access for indigenous migrant communities in the United States. As more First Nations people move to the U.S., they face significant language barriers in seeking services, employment, and education. This webinar highlights the need for interpreters and resources that facilitate effective communication and access to essential services.

Linguistic access is critical to the integration and empowerment of indigenous migrant communities. This seminar will provide a platform to highlight their needs and strengthen collaboration between organizations and communities. Through this event, we seek to foster constructive dialogue and find viable solutions to ensure all voices are heard and respected.

Event co-organized with Indigenous Communities in Leadership (CIELO) and Red de Pueblos Transnacionales (RPT), member organizations of the Alianza Americas network.
