More Heat and Less Protections for Workers

Join us for a discussion on how extreme heat is impacting migrant communities in the southern region of the U.S. Women Working Together We’ll hear from advocates on WeCount!’s “Que Calor” campaign as they share some lessons they have learned after years of organizing for workers’ rights to water and shade in Florida. We will also hear from CRECEN Houston, a community organization based in Houston, Texas, as they discuss some of the recent challenges in their communities as dehumanizing laws like HB2127 come into effect.

This discussion will take place in Spanish. English interpretation will be available.
