June 1, 2024 - LGBTQ people are an integral part of our Latin American communities and our fight for our collective well-being must include them. So how can we be better allies? It really doesn't have to be complicated. Being an ally means a sense of love and respect for other people's experiences and realities. By continuing to educate yourself, your friends, family and colleagues about the experiences of LGBTQ people and adding your voice to support their rights, you are helping to create one more world. How Gender Violence Drives Migration in Mexico And Central America
March 7, 2022 On International Women’s Day, Mar. 8, Alianza Americas, a network of 55 migrant-led organizations in 18 states, produced a fact sheet on gender-based violence in Central America and Mexico. The fact sheet highlights how the failure of authorities to address gender-based violence, including the lack of justice for domestic violence and femicide cases, forces women to flee their homes and seek protection elsewhere.
