From February 20-22, the Central American Resource Center of Washington DC (CARECEN DC) and Alianza Americas developed an information exchange delegation in El Salvador, with the participation of Glenn Ivey, Representative, MD-4, Mahasin el Amin, Clerk of the Court of Prince George’s County and Canek Aguirre, member of the Alexandria City Council, among other representatives of the philanthropic sector of the Washington DC metropolitan area.
The #RealitiesInElSalvador delegation allowed attendees to learn first-hand about the social, democratic and economic challenges facing the country. This webinar aims to share some of the findings and challenges identified during the delegation and share how these contribute to the work of elected officials in their outreach to the needs of migrant communities in the United States.
