Collective Motherhood

VIRTUAL EVENT

Details

A conversation meant to confront myths around motherhood and encourage a culture of care.

When becoming a mother, women often face dangerous health systems, laws that criminalize their bodies, inequitable caregiving responsibilities, and much more. Celebrating mothers should go beyond gifting flowers and chocolates, and instead center around challenging the violent systems that force motherhood to be a direct response of patriarchal interests. The event hosted by Alianza Americas and Paso a Paso will review concepts, fears, and aspirations around maternity and encourage a process of collective healing when analyzing the ways these experiences have shaped us.

Suggested registration donation: $25

All proceeds will benefit Alianza Americas and Paso a Paso’s collaborative fundraising campaign, Building a Better Life, One Step at a Time. Learn more.
